Christian Pschorr, founder of Bluewater Miles, teaches most of the offshore courses to and from Bermuda and the Virgins. He is a US Coast Guard licensed master, with several US Sailing instructor certifications. He trains instructors for US Sailing nationwide, and over the past decade, has taught all levels of sailing courses from New England to the Keys, the Bahamas and the Virgin Islands. Although he has traditionalist tendencies and is often found with sextant in hand, he loves sailing modern boats and using fancy electronics as well. Currently, Christian logs over 10,000 miles a year, mostly on Hylas Yachts to and from the Virgin Islands. Aboard their wooden sloop "Ballad," his two boys are often found walking the plank. |

| David Gayton, captain and instructor, brings a wealth of experience to Bluewater Miles passages. He’s sailed from the Mediterranean through the Galapagos Islands with numerous ocean passages in his wake. David is British and holds a US Coast Guard license as well as a number of US Sailing instructor certifications. David has taught beginner through passagemaking classes in New England, Florida, San Francisco and the Virgin Islands. David is a seasoned professional sailor, and a great person. (Famous for sleeping in the cockpit--off watch, of course.) |
